Beginners

We are passionate about bringing new people into the sport of archery, and run beginners courses all year round. It’s a great way of trying out the sport and getting to know the club.

Our beginner’s courses are run by ArcheryGB accredited coaches, providing all the equipment you need during the course and everything you need to know to get started in archery. The course runs on six consecutive Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. At the end of the course, we will explain how you can join the club and advise on buying your own bow if you decide to take up the sport.

Juniors (under 18’s) are welcome to attend a Beginner’s Course, but need to be at least 11 years old and, if they are under 12 years of age, their parent/guardian must also enroll on the course. All juniors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times whilst attending the course.
